Xinjiang Tianchi Energy Co., Ltd.

Xinjiang Tianchi Energy Co., Ltd. was founded on November 29, 2002. It is a large energy enterprise jointly invested by two listed companies, TBEA and Xinjiang Joinworld, and is an important part of TBEA's response to the call of the regional party committee and government, actively participating in the national "Belt and Road" and "Three Bases, One Passage" construction, realizing the conversion of Xinjiang's advantageous resources, and strengthening and expanding Xinjiang's economy. It is the energy cornerstone and guarantee for TBEA to take the new path of new industrialization and build a circular economy industrial chain. It is an important energy base for TBEA to actively participate in the "Xinjiang Electricity Transmission" and "Xinjiang Coal Transport to the East" projects. It is a high-tech enterprise in Xinjiang coal industry, one of the first batch of national pilot units for the integration of informatization and industrialization, the first enterprise in Xinjiang coal industry to obtain ISO27001 information security system certification, and is recognized by the autonomous region as an enterprise technology center, a demonstration base for industry-university-research joint development, and a model construction unit for the "5G+Industrial Internet" smart park pilot.

The company owns four coal mine projects: the Southern Open-pit Mine and the Northern Open-pit Mine in the Dajing mining area of Zhundong, and the Jiangjun Gobi No.1 and No.2 Open-pit Mines in the Xihieshan mining area. Coal resources reserves are 12 billion tons, with a total planned production capacity of 200 million tons/year, an existing capacity of 70 million tons/year, and construction capacity of 4 million tons/year. It also owns two power plant projects: the Zhundong Wucaiwan North No.1 Power Plant (2×660MW) and the Changji 2×350MW cogeneration plant. Two new power plant projects are under construction: the Zhundong 2×660MW and Ruoqiang 2×350MW cogeneration plant, with a total installed capacity of 4.04 million kW. In the two mines, there are three railway loop lines and two freight yards, along with two coal logistics storage and transportation bases and four joint logistics stations.

Coal Sector:

The Southern Open-pit Mine is located in the Dajing mining area of the Zhundong coalfield, with reserves of 3.38 billion tons. It has been built into a smart, green, and humanistic open-pit mine production system with an annual production capacity of 40 million tons, making it the world's largest single open-pit coal mine.

The Jiangjun Gobi No.2 Open-pit Mine is located in the Xihieshan mining area of the Zhundong coalfield, with reserves of 4.573 billion tons. It has passed the autonomous region's verification of 30 million tons/year, making it the largest open-pit mine in Xinjiang.

The Northern Open-pit Mine is located in the Dajing mining area of the Zhundong coalfield, with a planned construction scale of 20 million tons/year. The first phase has a construction scale of 10 million tons/year, and it will be mined at an appropriate time as a reserve resource.

The Jiangjun Gobi No.1 Open-pit Mine is located in the Xihieshan mining area of the Zhundong coalfield, with a planned construction scale of 20 million tons/year and a first-phase construction scale of 4 million tons/year. Preliminary work is currently underway.

Thermal Power Sector:

Changji Thermal Power Plant: Tianchi Energy actively implements the strategic policy of the autonomous region's party committee and government to improve infrastructure and develop the circular conversion of advantageous resources. In accordance with the nation's latest environmental protection and energy-saving requirements, Tianchi Energy invested 3.1 billion yuan to build the Tianchi Energy Changji 2×350MW cogeneration project, featuring water-saving, land-saving, energy-saving, emission reduction, environmental protection, and green characteristics. Both units were put into operation in 2017, solving the power supply problem for the Changji High-tech Zone and the southwest region, and providing winter heating for about 300,000 people in the south new district of Changji, Minchang Industrial Park, Sangong Town Railway Logistics Park, and the High-tech Zone. It replaced 99 small boilers within the heating range, effectively reducing emissions of pollutants such as dust, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxides in the urban area of Changji, making it a benchmark green power plant among cities in Xinjiang and contributing to environmental protection.

Beiyi Power Plant: The Xinjiang Zhundong Wucaiwan Beiyi Power Plant 2×660MW project has a total planned investment of 4.5 billion yuan. It is a key project constructed by TBEA, a local Xinjiang enterprise, in response to the national strategy of "Xinjiang electricity transmission" and the "Belt and Road" initiative. It is a supporting power supply project for TBEA's participation in the "coal transmission through air, electricity to all of China" project, and a key project for the circular conversion strategy of advantageous resources. It has been awarded the 2021 China Electric Power Quality Engineering Award and the National Quality Engineering Award (the first coal power enterprise in Xinjiang to receive this honor).

Sales and Logistics Sector:

Tianchi Energy is the first in Xinjiang to promote safe, environmentally friendly, and economical corridor transportation and railway container transportation models. Currently, the railway loop lines at the two mines have a daily loading capacity of 50 trains, with 29 stations in operation, including Hutubi, Manas, Shihezi, Kuytun West, Wusu, and Bole, radiating to more than 100 customers in southern and northern Xinjiang and the Hexi Corridor. It continues to make active efforts to win the blue sky defense war and promote local economic development.

Scientific Research Strength:

Tianchi Energy has strong scientific research capabilities, with currently one doctoral innovation team and one smart mining planning and construction team. There are currently 4 doctoral degree holders and 79 with master's degree or above. An expert team consisting of more than 30 industry-leading academic leaders and professor-level senior engineers has been formed, conducting innovative research in various fields such as basic research, experimental support, new technologies, and new processes, always maintaining a leading position. The company has increased its investment in scientific and technological research and development over the years. In the past three years, research and development expenses have reached nearly 500 million yuan, with 87 patent applications completed, 52 authorized; 81 software copyright applications, 54 authorized; 87 professional papers published, and 2 industry monographs published.
