Job Responsibility:
NPI product owner - 80%
●Collaborate with the design team from the early development stage to fully understthe optical design test requirements of new products provide assessments foptical processes (including optical fiber splice, Erbium Fiber KGC, KFS, etc.) as well as proposals foptical test coverage.
●Support the design team in the optical bring-up of new modules line cards may participate in manual calibration steady-state testing to facilitate the delivery of early samples.
●In collaboration with the design team, manufacturing test items Pass/Fail criteria from an optical perspective foptical electrical layer modules, line cards, integrated line system boxes.
●Partner with the test development team to execute optical-related test procedures, validate test methods, analyze test results, including but not limited to functional testing, system optical link testing, sanity testing, environmental stress testing.
●Lead the diagnosis of product optical failures, including defining, analyzing, validating issues, as well as tracking improvements resolutions to ensure production yield meets target requirements.
Mass / transfer product support - 10%
●Provide technical support ffactory mass production, including product knowledge transfer, process know-how sharing, optimization of test coverage.
●Review the correlation of test bench expansion drive initiatives fyield improvement.
●Support the proposal, verification, implementation of cost reduction projects.
●release manufacturing-related documents such as BOMs.
Customer focus - 10%
●Provide timely responses technical support fRMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) of both NPI mass-produced products.
●Collect provide manufacturing processes, product, component build history data to the R&D team customers when requested.
Job Requirements:
●Bachelor’s degree in Optics, Optical Engineering, Physics, an equivalent technical discipline from an accredited college university is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
●Minimum 3 years of working experience in the fiber optics, optical fiber communication products, related industry within a globalganization.
●Solid knowledge of optical fiber communication principles, as well as laser and/EDFA technologies.
●Proficient in using optical test instruments such as Optical Spectrum Analyzers (OSA), Power Meters, Optical Switches, Oscilloscopes, related equipment to independently complete diagnostic tasks.
●Familiar with active passive components, modules, line cards, transceivers, their corresponding test methods in optical fiber communication systems.
●Excellent teamwork communication skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with R&D production teams to achieve business objectives.
●A good understanding of new product introduction (NPI) manufacturing bring-up processes is a plus.
