Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Eighth Division Tianshan Aluminum Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Tianshan Aluminum / Company") is an enterprise supporting Xinjiang in response to the national call and assisting the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. It settled in the Chemical New Material Industrial Park of Shihezi Economic and Technological Development Zone in August 2010. Since its establishment 11 years ago, the company has seized the historical opportunity of Xinjiang's opening-up and development, closely relying on Xinjiang's superior coal resources, based on a high starting point and high technological content, introducing internationally advanced management experience and leading technology and equipment. Up to now, it has completed a cumulative investment of about 30 billion yuan, forming a production capacity of 1.2 million tons of electrolytic aluminum, 6×350MW generator sets, and 300,000 tons of carbon. At present, it has become a new growth point for driving the industrial economic development of the Corps, making significant contributions to the economic development of the Eighth Division Shihezi City.
