北京市建筑工程研究院有限责任公司成立于1956年，主要从事建筑结构、施工、机械、材料、防水、地基基础、监理、检测与司法鉴定和建筑节能等建筑工程应用技术及产品的研究与开发，是一所多学科、综合性、技术开发型建筑科技企业，是北京市重点科研院所，2000年正式转制成为高新技术企业，2010年转制为有限责任公司。
现有职工300余人，拥有北京市突出贡献专家1位，享受政府特殊津贴专家2位，在职教授级高级工程师14位，中级以上工程师130余人，博士12人，硕士120余人。多年来，累计获得500余项科研成果，其中重大成果150余项；获得发明及实用新型专利100余项，完成*、部、市级科研成果40余项，被建设部定为十大新技术推广项目依托单位。
