Tsinghua Architectural Design Institute

Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tsinghua University Co., Ltd. is a national Class A architectural design institute. Its history can be traced back to the Civil Engineering Design Institute of Tsinghua University, established in 1958. It was restructured on January 5, 2011, from the former Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tsinghua University into a wholly state-owned enterprise, with two wholly-owned subsidiaries: Beijing Qingkong Shuimu Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. and Beijing Huaqing Andi Architectural Design Firm Co., Ltd. The institute currently has over 1,000 engineering design personnel, including 3 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 3 national design masters, 170 first-class registered architects, 63 first-class registered structural engineers, 31 registered public utility engineers, and 16 registered electrical engineers, with senior professional and technical personnel accounting for over 60%. With a dense concentration of talent, complete professional disciplines, high-quality personnel, and strong technical strength, the institute, relying on Tsinghua University's profound and extensive academic, research, and teaching resources, serves as a base for teaching, research, and practice integration for schools such as the School of Architecture and the School of Civil Engineering. It places great emphasis on the transformation of academic research and scientific and technological achievements, and its planning and design level ranks among the top domestically. In 2011, the institute was recognized as a high-tech enterprise.
