Beijing Institute of Computer Technology and Application is a research institute with a long history and vitality, affiliated to China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation. It is one of the most powerful special computer research institutes in China, and has the largest number of master's degree programs among computer research institutes, including five master's degree authorization points: computer system architecture, computer application technology, computer software and theory, computational mathematics, control theory and control engineering. At present, there are more than 60 master's and doctoral students. The institute currently employs more than 1,500 people, of whom over 1,100 are scientific researchers. The institute has a full range of product lines including rugged computer systems, vehicle-mounted computers, servers, individual combat computers, communication equipment, and firewalls. It has achieved major scientific research results such as the "Galaxy" billion-times vector recognizer and algorithm library, especially software evaluation for rockets and spacecraft. Located on the bustling West Chang'an Avenue in Beijing, the institute invested in the construction of a new 100,000-square-meter intelligent office building in 2013 at the northwest of Wukesong Bridge on the Fourth Ring Road West, with convenient transportation and an elegant environment. In addition, it has multiple offices in Fengtai District and Fangshan District. The institute has four major technology industry companies: IoT, Zhongren, Aiwei, and Aerospace CNC, and has seven business divisions and two frontier technology research centers. It is the second largest shareholder of the listed company Aerospace Changfeng (600855). The institute has a good humanistic environment with corporate characteristics.
